March the month of Trial and Error

I started this blog about a week ago and I've yet to post anything.  I don't want to be one of those bloggers who just posts something to say that they posted.  That makes blogging turn into a "job" really quickly.  I've already got a job why would I want to add to that?!

From the title of this post you can probably guess that things are kind of up in the air for me right now.  Financially speaking, things are not going so good.  I've drained my bank account and I don't get paid again until next Friday.  I've got some cash that I've been holding onto but I don't want to spend it if I don't have to.  So I guess March is going to be the month of trial and error for sure on the finance side of things.

Health/Fitness speaking, things are going alright.  I hit a road block last week with our MFP Biggest Loser challenge.  I felt like I was the weakest link in our group.  I knew it was all in my head but I just could not shake that feeling.  That is the point at which I decided that March was going to be my month Health/Fitness wise.  So far this is what I've been up to:

  • ran 10 straight minutes on the treadmill at the gym Sunday morning.
  • did 43 minutes on the Elliptical trainer Sunday morning.
  • Bought a 10 pound Kettlebell so I can do Kettlebell workouts at home.
  • Did 30 minutes on the Elliptical trainer Monday morning
  • ran 11 straight minutes on the treadmill at the gym Monday morning.
Food wise, I'm still waffling a little bit.  If you check out my food diary on MFP (open to my MFP friends) you will see that I had a really good day on Monday, a pretty junky day on Tuesday and so far today is looking up.  I had been struggling in the protein department for a while but I finally bit the bullet and bought some protein powder at work not that long ago and have been using that to help a little bit in that department.

I just bought a brand new 32 oz water bottle too.  I've gotten my recommended daily water intake in on both Tuesday and today so far.  Going to see if I can beat it.  I'm determined to be out of the 180's by the end of March.
